Many of you know me as Cupid, the sponsor of “Computer Cupid,” now renamed to “Shining Star Singles” and live on the internet. Many of you know me as MoonDust, the Shining Star Software developer of those action-packed Electronic Bulletin Board Software Family Games such as: Spiked, Leviathan's Reef, MoonDust County Fair, Dr. Dread, Phantom of the Catacombs, Don’t Wake the Sysop and many others. I have been developing relational database business applications with graphical user interfaces (GUI) since 1989. My software is all local or LAN ready, event-driven, utilizes drop down menus, mouse or hot keys, radios, buttons, reports, and more. I developed all of my BBS game and utility software using Borland's Turbo C/C++, Brian Pirie's Opendoors, and Sequiter Software's Codebase for database connectivity. I retired from the BBS software creation business in January of 1997 as, well, let's face it, they're dropping like flies with the emergence of all the on-line Internet games. I still sell my existing software, but no, I will *not* be making anything new or updating anything existing. The bright side is, my software is stable and works on many different BBS systems. As many of you know, I dropped my 6 node BBS in February. I was finally down to only about 4 callers a day and couldn't see spending the money on the phone bills to keep it up, nor tying up that computer. I enjoy teaching my children about computers. Since being born, they know nothing other than sitting on mommie's lap while she's at the computer. But now that they're all older, they each have their own computer and even my four year old knows her way around to get to her favorite games. In 1996, Hannah did the artwork, scanned it in, loaded it into Paint, colored it, and loaded it into Corel's Click 'n Create, to create a Screen Saver of Baby Moses working his way past the alligators, piranhas and guards through bullrushes and water lilies to the princess. She won a first place medal at her school Science Fair. Of course she has been my number one beta tester of my games for years. ;) Hannah created her own page when she visited me at work for “Take Our Daughters To Work Day” in 1997. Hannah also helped put together the Kids Karnival site, along with Esther and I. Other than computers, we also enjoy our 135 gallon tropical fish aquarium with more than 40 tropical fish, mostly consisting of about 7 species of tetras and lots of beautiful java moss and java fern. And I can't forget Bunny, our male Holland Lopeared Rabbit. The spoiled thing was my purchase in 1996 to keep my husband from going out and buying a dog. It worked. ;) He has a 24" high, by 36"x36" glass custom made aquarium for a home. I just couldn't bear to stick him in those cruddy bunny bins you buy at the pet stores.
